Pilot Sail Explorer 40 WIKTORIA

Pilot Sail Explorer 40 designed designed by Willem Nieland, known for his rugged timeless seagoing designs.

She was built in 2010, has the modern cockpit and double steering wheels. All lines run to the cockpit, so everything is easily accessible when a sail needs to be adjusted.
The cockpit offers good shelter and a spacious seating for in the harbour and/or at anchor. Also, under sail we can easily look over the pilothouse or along it. The gangways to the foreship have several handles and are equipped with a good anti-slip.

The pilothouse has an elevated seating area with an L-shaped seat on port side and a longitudinal bench on starboard side. There is a place for the navigation equipment, throttle, and autopilot controls. The viewing height to the outside is excellent and the substantial sliding hatches provide ventilation and the possibility to keep an eye on the sail position without going outside.

Two steps down, we enter the saloon with a galley placed alongside with 3-burner stove, stainless steel sink and top loading fridge. On the other side of the centerboard (electrically operated) is a cosy seating. Through the sliding door on port side, we enter the wet room with a separate shower. Here is also a (narrow) passage to the stern with a 1-person bed and worktable.

In the bow is a double V-bed, with enormous storage beneath, and large cupboards. Through the passage to the stern, we come along the electrical installations such as switchboard, inverters and charging equipment. The aft cabin is equipped with comfortable Neptune mattresses, closet space, and portholes for natural ventilation.

She needs a little TLC.

She has an enormous sailing area and can fall dry, which make her perfect for the Wadden Sea and shallow waters.
